Delete Your Bold Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Bold account and the personal data associated with it. Bold is a dating application operated by the Bold team.

Option 1: Delete from inside the app (recommended)

  1. Open the Bold app and sign in to your account.
  2. Tap your profile icon to open Settings.
  3. Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm your choice when prompted.

Your account is deactivated immediately and your profile will no longer appear to other users.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@boldapp.com from the address associated with your account and include:

After you request deletion, your account is soft-deleted immediately and hidden from other users. Personal data listed above is permanently purged 30 days after the request, unless we are required to retain it for one of the limited reasons below.

Some information is retained beyond the 30-day window only where necessary to protect our users or to comply with the law:

Retained data is not used to re-identify you, contact you, or show your profile in the app.

Changing your mind

During the 30-day grace period you can cancel a deletion request by signing back in to the app, or by replying to our confirmation email. After 30 days, deletion is final and the data cannot be recovered.
